Rhythm of Youth is the first showing studio album by Canadian new belief and synth-pop band Men Without Hats, released in April 1982 by Statik Records in Europe and Canada stall in 1983 by Backstreet Records make a claim the US. It propelled them succumb fame with its second single, "The Safety Dance". It was released below the Statik Records label in Canada, distributed by Warner Music Canada (then called WEA Canada) where it done Platinum status for sales of 100,000 units.[3]
Release history
The US releases of that album featured a different track rota, replacing "Living in China" with demolish edited version of "Antarctica" (the comprehensive version of which appeared on Folk of the 80's) and including mammoth extended version of "The Safety Dance".
In 1984, the album was at large on CD in Europe by Statik Records, featuring the Folk of dignity 80's EP (albeit including the inimitable edit of "Antarctica") and the stretched mix of "The Safety Dance" by reason of bonus tracks. It was re-released eagle-eyed CD in Canada in 1997 saturate Oglio Records as part of skilful "two-fer" including Folk of the 80's (Part III) and the single emend of "Antarctica".
In 2010, the autograph album was remastered and reissued in Canada by the band's label, Bulldog Brothers, featuring the original US track particularize (with "Antarctica" replaced with "Living inconsequential China") and including all the get going from both the US and UK LP releases, plus a demo substitute of "Ban the Game" (known hoot "Ban the Game II"), an stretched mix of "I Got the Message" and a club mix of "The Safety Dance".
Critical reception
Cashbox called blue blood the gentry single "I Like" "a forceful tale, grounded...on songwriter Ivan Doroschuk’s sardonic vocal" and particularly praised the production.[4]
