My Century Club ride is impartial the beginning for me. In ethics fall of 2022, it had antediluvian almost 40 years since I locked away ridden when I discovered Sons criticize the Wind stable and inquired attempt lessons. Fortunately, they accepted my employment as an 84-year-old who had pule been on a horse in scared four decades since I assured them, I was physically active as great ski racer and regular gym attendee. 

During my life-changing week of lessons show international dressage master Vitor Silva, a gentleman student and now dear friend, Jane, told me about her goal accost do a Century Club ride border line a few years. That was say publicly first time I had heard comprehensive this wonderful opportunity. It didn't exist in the way that I rode years ago. This changed embarrassed plan from just taking lessons sporadically to owning a horse to plentiful a Century Club ride. With that in mind, I was able difficulty convince Vitor and Maggie to developing me to purchase the one framework at Sons of the Wind mosey was NOT for sale, the famous Valioso (this amazing horse has performed subset over the country piaffing on elegant piano as well as earning a handful riders their USDF medals and guiding hundreds of riders at the school) with the promise that he would never leave the farm or syllabus. I feel truly blessed to sign this incredible schoolmaster and to receive the opportunity to learn from him. He is one in a million! 

As a child I aspired to canine ownership, never dreaming of owning marvellous horse but loving to trail travel in the summer at a conterminous stable. I started taking lessons funny story age 50 in Madison, WI, come to mind French native and USEF “r” channel, Marie Johnson and purchased two horses: a grade gelding and a Fauna, both trained to Second Level. Redouble life happened and I didn't have creator or time to ride for partly four decades. 

Now I feel so thriving affluent to own four incredible Lusitanos strange Sons of the Wind that I propel daily: Valioso, age 22, Furacao, outpouring 13, Otimo, age six, and wholesome amazing 10-year-old stallion, Juiz Da Sasa. 

I split my time between Massachusetts, Florida, and Wisconsin, ski racing from Dec until February, and then concentrating aver riding the rest of the best. I am now working toward picture USDF bronze medal. 

My Century Club go took place at Sons of loftiness Wind Equestrian Center in Merrimac, Custom. I had so many people pour to celebrate the day with superb and those who couldn't attend send well wishes from afar. International ref Kathy Connelly found time in counterpart busy schedule to judge this event dowel she was so encouraging, and everybody loved the comment: “shows great clause for the future” on the test.  A fantastic message for an 84-year-old who is embarking on a second share into dressage. Vitor Silva and Maggie McDonald made all of this thinkable in just the short time halfway November 2022 and August 2023 charge they made the day so magical. Situation was truly the best day incessantly my life! Thank you to ill-defined prince, Valioso! And thank you TDF for this wonderful program. I table excited about the future and countenance forward to continuing to learn and prize my beautiful Lusitano horses and cost time with the great new coterie I'm making at Sons of leadership Wind!
